General Terms and Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions of Europe Hospitals ASBL, having its registered office located at Avenue De Fré 206, 1180 Brussels, with company number 0432.011.571 (hereinafter referred to as THE HOSPITALS) apply to the IBIS patient portal. Before using the IBIS patient portal, regardless of the method used, please read the terms and conditions carefully. By using the IBIS patient portal, you expressly agree to the General Terms and Conditions. 


THE HOSPITALS reserve the right to amend the General Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest General Terms and Conditions are always available via the IBIS patient portal. The General Terms and Conditions were last amended on 16/07/2021.  

Patient Portal

THE HOSPITALS will offer patients access to certain parts of their electronic files via the IBIS patient portal.


For the time being, you will have access to:

  • Your personal data;
  • An overview of appointments;
  • An overview of messages;
  • Administrative data;
  • Authorizations for services (e.g. Comunicare) 
  • Medical data 

In order to always offer you the best services, the IBIS patient portal is currently a project undergoing continuous development. In the future, changes may be made to the form and content, and new features may be added. 
If substantial changes are made, you will be informed via a message on the IBIS patient portal. 

Access 

Access to the IBIS patient portal is only granted to persons over the age of 18 who are patients of THE HOSPITALS and who are registered on the IBIS patient portal. Furthermore, access to the IBIS patient portal is strictly personal.

The IBIS patient portal is not accessible to minors or legal representatives of patients. This option will be offered in future versions of the IBIS patient portal.

Patients have the right to terminate access to the IBIS patient portal at any time. After termination of access, the patient’s data will no longer be accessible via the IBIS patient portal. However, the information will continue to exist in the patient's electronic file. 

In the event that THE HOSPITALS become aware of the patient’s death, access to the IBIS patient portal will be automatically terminated. 


THE HOSPITALS reserve the right to terminate access to the IBIS patient portal in the event of non-compliance with the General Terms and Conditions.


Obligations of Europe Hospitals

THE HOSPITALS undertake to make every effort to ensure that the IBIS patient portal is available on a full-time basis. However, THE HOSPITALS do not guarantee that the IBIS patient portal will be accessible at all times without interruption or error. 
THE HOSPITALS take all necessary measures to protect the IBIS patient portal from loss or any other unauthorized use of data. 

THE HOSPITALS endeavor to ensure that the information provided on the IBIS patient portal is as complete, correct, and accurate as possible.  

Liability 

The IBIS patient portal complies with the security requirements for the protection of personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The content of the IBIS patient portal has been developed with the utmost care. Since the information comes from different healthcare professionals in THE HOSPITALS, we ask you to please contact the relevant healthcare professional if you have any questions regarding the information provided on the IBIS patient portal.

Patients are themselves responsible for the management and dissemination of information obtained via the IBIS patient portal. 

THE HOSPITALS shall not be in any way liable, directly or indirectly, generally or specifically, for any direct or indirect loss resulting from the use of the IBIS patient portal.

Final provision

In cases not provided for in these General Terms and Conditions, 
THE HOSPITALS shall make the final decision.
